Itís not too early to think about your heating system

continued

Electricity is a good reliable energy source for your heating needs, eliminating alternative fuel sources that are not 100 percent efficient as electricity is at the meter. In fact, both the Storage Water Heating and Storage Space Heating programs utilize renewable wind energy sources during the nighttime hours when energy needs are at their lowest.

When the need for energy during the nighttime hours are reduced, the wind still blows. Electricity cannot be stored as a norm, but can be stored as heat in a media. North Itasca Electricís storage programs can store the energy produced during nighttime hours from renewable wind energy in water heaters andstorage furnaces. And, itís carbon free.

North Itasca Electric also has the Dual Fuel program designed to reduce high demands on the power grid by turning off electric heating equipment preventing an upload on generation facilities such as coal and other fossil fuels. Reducing this demand for energy helps reduce fossil fuel use, which is not carbon free.

Rates:

  • Storage Water Heating - $0.047 per kWh
  • Storage Space Heating - $0.047 per kWh
