Bowstring

On Friday May 25 and June 29 from 4:30 -7 p.m. the Bowstring Chapel will host this annual event featuring homemade pies, ice cream, sloppy joes, sloppy dogs, and hot dog baskets. There will also be a Bake Sale and new this year, Craft Sale featuring blankets, baskets and much more. Please come! The Chapel is located on Co Rd 133 just west of the Bowstring Store and has hosted this event for many, many years. It has been well attended throughout the years and we invite you to come for your evening meal and to enjoy the homemade pie with ice cream. Accessible space. Free Will Offering will benefit the church and its many charities.

Effie

Rodeo Benefit for Fred Pitzen on May 5 at rodeo grounds north of Effie. Events include breakfast, 8 a.m.; Cowboy Church, 9 a.m.; Slack, 10 a.m.; rodeo; 1 p.m. meal and silent auction during rodeo, live auction and live music following. Rodeo open to the public, adults $10, children, $5, 5 and under free. Events include bareback riding, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing and bull riding. .Auction donations welcome at (513) 283-2730, benefit donations at Northwoods Saddle Club, P.O. Box 114, Bigfork, MN 56628. Hosted by Northwoods Saddle Club.
