Russ and René Cutting’s Cutting Edge Addition/Remodel
by Jerry Loney
Russ Cutting and his wife René, started construction on a 1656 S.F. two story addition along with remodeling their existing 1140 S.F. structure during the summer of 2009. They are located on the southwest side of Spring Lake in Jessie Lake Township where they enjoy beautiful sunrises.
Russ and René said that by reading the WATTS NEWS, they learned how they could save on their heating and cooling cost and made an appointment with North Itasca Electric to learn more. I sat down with them and went over their house plans and options available. After doing a heat loss calculation, we were able to make good decisions on what heating and cooling equipment would work best for their needs. From there, bids were received from contractors and after choosing Northern Air Plumbing and Heating out of Grand Rapids, North Itasca Electric worked with the contractor and the Cuttings to get the system up and running. Russ said that Northern Air Plumbing and Heating was good to work with and did a great job implementing the project.

by Kathe Johnson
On Wednesday, April 14st, North Itasca Electric Trust Board held theirregular spring grant meeting.
A total of 52 grand requests were received by the dead line date and time and $9927.33 in funds were available for disbursement. At this meeting, the Trust Board awarded $9,925 towards 50 different grant requests. With more and more grant requests coming in and with even more limited dollars to award, your Trust Board has difficult decisions to make. We appreciate their dedication to their districts and also the RoundUp cause.
