Dance to the Oldies for Fire Equipment

  by Sally Sedgwick

Remember Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Rick Nelson and Chubby Checker?

If so, you’re thinking about songs from the 50s and 60s. And on Saturday, February 16 from 7-11 p.m. you can listen and dance to The Pretenders and Friends singing the hits from these and more at the Squaw Lake Community Center.

Admission is $6 and there will be a cash bar and sandwiches for sale during the evening as well as some 50/50 drawings. But besides just having a good time, there’s another reason for coming...to support the Squaw Lake Volunteer Fire Department.

It also is an opportunity to meet lots of other students from around the country – 1500 of them – who come from rural communities.
