2 Baby Steps comes to Marcell Family Center the first Friday of the month, 9 a.m.
3 “An Inconvenient Truth” movie and discussion about global warming at the Edge Center, 7 p.m. Free and open to the public.
3 Bingo in Bigfork sponsored by V.F.W. & Auxillary Post 1764, 7 p.m. 60% payout, snacks and refreshments available. Proceeds for community services. Smoke-free.
5 Deer River School Board meets in high school library. Open Forum at 5 p.m. for community input. Meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
7 North Itasca Electric hosts an Off-Peak Open House, noon to 4 p.m.
8 Eagleview Community Foundation meets at Eagleview School, 6:30 p.m.
9 No school, Bigfork, Eagleview, North, Deer River schools
10 Northwoods Saddle Club meets 7 p.m., Effie Community Center. Open to the public. Meetings every second Saturday.
10 Annual celebration of St. Urho’s Day at The Hill in Squaw Lake. Parade at 5 p.m., fish soup contest following.
12 Women of the Woods meet at 10 a.m. All women in the area welcome! WOW meets the second and fourth Mondays. Call Connie Vesey at 659-4669 location.

15 “Illuminating the Word: The Saint John’s Bible” exhibit opens at the Edge Center Gallery. Exhibit extends through April 8. Gallery hours are Thurs. and Sat., 1 - 4 p.m., Fri. 1- 7 p.m. and, for this exhibit only, Sun. 9 a.m. - 1p.m.
15 Public meeting on Jessie Lake at the Bowstring Town Hall, 6 p.m. Report on studies completed on Jessie Lake and development of a nutrient TMDL.

30, 31 Northome School Play,, 7 p.m.: "Mrs. California." Four homemakers vie for the title of Mrs. California 1955, but a few are finding the competition weary after knowing what they accomplished as Wavs or factory workers during WWII. It's also about friendship.
