To apply, request an application from the cooperative at P.O. Box 227, Bigfork, MN 56628 or pick up one at the main office. As part of the application, the student is asked to write a 500 word essay on “Why I would like to attend the Cooperative Youth Tour” and include two letters of reference from teachers, youth counselors, ministers, employers or other community leaders.

On this application be sure to list any employment you are involved in, community or service projects you take part in, your grade point average and any extra curricular activities you participate in, such as band, sports, chorus, speech, etc. Depending on the number of applications received there may be an interview process as well.

The cooperative will pay all expenses for the student as part of the tour. The student is responsible for discretionary spending money. For more information on the Youth Tour, see the NRECA site: youthtour.coop.
