Stampede!
... continued

On Thursday, July 27 at 6 p.m. there will be an official opening for a new rodeo museum at the North Star Ranch. It contains a collection of the memorabilia from fifty years of rodeo including wooden chute gates, custom spurs and a saddle collection.

There will be a few new horses and bulls in the events, said Pitzen, including a new bronc named Malta. But spectators will be pleased to see some of the familiar names; Fever Reliever, Big Sky, Kid Curry and Brown Bomber, each trying to separate from their riders within eight seconds.

All the usual rodeo events will be back as well: bull riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, bare back riding, wild horse racing, wild cow riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and team roping.

And for those who want to try it themselves, entries open July 17 at 7 a.m.
