Members give $11,000
RoundUp™ grants awarded
There’s a lot going on in the area.
The spring RoundUp™ grant cycle received requests for $41,500 on a total project value of over a million dollars.
The RoundUp fund had $11,000 available for area projects, generously donated by Members rounding up their electric bills to the nearest dollar. The requests are reviewed by an independent board twice a year, which recommends the grants to be awarded.
Thirty-four projects received grants from $100 to $1,000. Grants were awarded throughout North Itasca Electric’s service territory and ranged from a contribution toward a school computer lab to fire department turn-out gear. A complete list of grants awarded may be found on the continuation of this article.
