Water Heating Programs:
- Storage Water heating program - 4.7 cents per kWh.
This program
requires a 105 gallon water heater with an energy efficiency rating of 90%. Water
is heated for 8 hours per day during night time hours of 11:00 P.M.to 7:00 A.M.
Weekends and holidays, power is provided from 11:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. the following day.
- Interruptible water heating program - 6.3 center per kWh.
These water heaters are interrupted when energy prices are high and controlled up to eight hours.
A minimum of 50 gallon tank is required to be on the program. Predefined control generally occurs
Monday - Friday for 8 hours.
Space Heating Programs:
- Storage Heating with Slab Heat - 4.7 cents per kWh.
Program requires pex tubing and or
electric Mats to be a minimum of 12" below the top of concrete slab.

Energy is provided continuously
unless controlled by Great River Energy. Propane or Fuel oil must be used as a back-up heat source in living spaces for this program.
- Controlled Air source Heat Pumps for Heating - 5.2 cents per kWh.
Propane or fuel oil
backup required.
- Ground Source Heat Pumps (Heating) - general service rate (usually).
If propane or fuel oil is
available for a backup source, the dual fuel rate of 5.2 per kWh may apply.
Electric cooling programs:
